CHESTER L JOHNSON

PO2

Navy

HOME : ROSEBURG, OR

Plaque : Wall 1, Row B, Col 5

I joined the service in 1997. After my schooling, I was forwarded deployed to Iraq toward the end of Desert Storm and the beginning of Southern Watch. During my time there, I was being trained on ground warfare. As my career started to shift gears, I got stationed in Pascagoula, MS working with USCG on Drug Narcotics and pirate boardings. After working with the Navy and Coast Guard, I was transferred to USNSOF which is where my career took off and where I found my calling. I spent the rest of my career working with many different services and teams that are not spoken of. They became my family and brothers. After many years with them and many places, I returned to the PC Coastal Groups still doing the work I was involved with from earlier. With all that I have done in my live, I have learned three quotes in my life. 1. One Shot, One Kill. 2. I am not scared of death, but I do fear death. 3. I will always come home to the ones that are my home.
